A Natural Athlete

Layla Warren is a senior athlete at Beaufort High School, Class of 2021. She is the daughter of Edward N. Warren Jr. and Crystal A. Warren and has one sister, Alexus S. Warren, and two brothers, Edward N. Warren III and Carter Warren. Growing up on St. Helena Island, she played t-ball and basketball. A natural athlete, she played volleyball, basketball, and ran track in middle and high school. Her favorite sport to watch is football, however, and she’s a big fan of the New Orleans Saints. Her favorite sport to play is basketball, and she’s quite the star competitor.

Layla is dedicated to sports and influenced by her family. When asked about her role models, she says she has two, “my mom and my dad,” she smiles.

Her future goals in life are to play sports in college and get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She wants to become a Neonatal Nurse.

“But my future goals with sports are to be the best and break records,” she laughs.
