Beaufort Children’s Theatre
Annie Jr., May 20-22
Annie, Jr. is playing for one weekend only at USCB Center for the Arts starting on Friday, May 20 – Sunday, May 22. Based on the comic strip adapted from the Tony Award-winning musical by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin.
Naomi Forrestall, assistant director for Annie, Jr., says: “We have a talented and dedicated cast of young actors who love the stage and shine in their roles! Our team has had a wonderful time working together and with these kids. We are excited for the community to enjoy the show in a few weeks.”
Annie, Jr. tells of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents who abandoned her on a New York City orphanage doorstep run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil ways, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt, and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
