Beaufort Aesthetics Meets
Lowcountry’s Skincare Needs

Everyone knows that their skin is their largest organ, but unlike our other organs, we are often at a loss as to how to care for our skin. There are so many options for skincare, and it can leave us feeling overwhelmed. The stress of how to care for your skin can lead to breakouts, wrinkles, and more. Morgan Brown at Beaufort Aesthetics is here to remove that stress and lead you to happier, healthier skin.
After growing up in Charlottesville, Virginia, Morgan entered nursing school at Clemson University. She graduated with her BSN before moving to Nashville for a few years, working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit while there. She moved back to South Carolina to get her Nurse Practitioner license from Anderson University. While she was doing that, she was working as a Labor and Delivery nurse. “I loved NICU and L&D. It was so amazing. I did two years in each of those jobs.”
“When you are someone’s labor nurse, you are their cheerleader. You are there to support women and remind them how incredible they are. You help build their confidence. I have always been that kind of ‘women-support-women’ kind of person.”
With that thought in mind, Morgan decided to go back and get her Nurse Practitioner license because she knew she wanted to step into the field of aesthetics. “I want women to be confident in what they are doing. I want to be their cheerleader.”
She got a job at a plastic surgery office in Greenville after graduating and she continued working there for about four years. She was exposed to every side of the field — surgery, aesthetics, lasers, and more. “I loved having the ability to make my patients feel more confident. And they were not sick or hurt. They were in the office because they wanted to be there.”
Working in this field also provided Morgan with an artistic outlet. It was fun for her, to have a job that allowed her to express some creativity while also making people feel great. “I was also seeing the patients more frequently and that allowed me to build relationships with them.”
Morgan’s husband, Beau, is from Beaufort, and they always knew they wanted to move to Beaufort to be closer to family. This became especially true after having their daughter, Elsie, a year ago. Morgan realized that to work she would probably have to make the drive to Bluffton or Hilton Head Island. She thought about it, and decided it was time to take the leap and open her own space: Beaufort Aesthetics. “It had been a long-term goal, but the opportunity seemed to be right there.”
Speaking to the potential controversy surrounding the field, Morgan says, “I think it was taboo for a long time, and now it is becoming more common. People will dye their hair to cover their grays, or they get their nails done … If it is something you are doing to feel more confident, especially if it is just small things, you should do it.” While some people may immediately think of plastic surgery when hearing about aesthetics, Morgan says it is so much more than that. “It can be as simple as wanting to take better care of your skin with medical-grade skincare. Your skin, your face, is the first thing you see when you look in the mirror. When you feel confident in your skin, it affects so many other aspects of your life.”
Morgan is very conservative when it comes to her treatment. She will not go overboard on patients or ever try to convince them to do something they are not comfortable with. She also is willing to say no to something that she doesn’t feel like a patient needs or would benefit from. “I want people to feel like themselves; a youthful, refreshed version of themselves.”
Beaufort Aesthetics is located upstairs in the Port Royal Town Center. They offer a variety of injectables, such as neurotoxins and dermal fillers, including Botox™, Juvederm fillers™, and Jeuveau™. They provide laser therapy that can target hair loss, tattoo removal, skin tightening, skin damage removal, and more. Hair restoration is another service provided that can help in treating hair loss and overall scalp health. Of course, they also have some great medical-grade skin care and will soon offer facials. Whatever your needs, Beaufort Aesthetics is ready to meet them.
“You can overdo fillers or surgery, but skin is just so important, and you can’t overdo taking care of your skin. Focusing on skin health is so important. I want you to walk into a room and people say, ‘You look so good!’ — just not be able to put their finger on what you had done. I want you to look good and feel good.”
It is never too late to begin caring for your skin. “I can’t tell you how many patients I treat that used to lay out in baby oil, and they think it’s too late for them because of the sun damage. That is never the case. No matter what stage you are, we can do things to make your skin healthier.”
Morgan hopes to build a community through Beaufort Aesthetics and be able to cater to what her patients need. This could mean providing more laser options, more skin care, IV hydration, or potentially hormone-balancing options. “I want to find out what the community will benefit from and then offer that.”
When she is not working, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, and loves to read a good book.
